Thanks to intelligent process logic, SICK RFU630 RFID reader independently solves application tasks in the area of production, logistics and communication and can function as an autonomous system. Integrated data processing and filtering functions ensure optimal and stable reading results. RFU630 can be easily and inexpensively integrated in industrial networks using 4Dpro technology from SICK. With the help of a back-up system, you can transfer parameters to other devices using a microSD card – this significantly reduces the time required for device replacement and configuration. An arbitrarily assigned LED signal allows you to display additional information, eg readout result and diagnostic data.
SICK RFU630 specification
- General Purpose I/O: 4 inputs, 4 outputs
- Antenna ports:
- RFU630-13100: integrated (circular polarized, axial ration typ. 2 dB, 72° field opening, front to back ratio > 17 dB), additionally 3 external antenna ports
- RFU630-04100: 4 external antenna ports
- Communications: 10/100 Ethernet, USB, RS-232
- Air protocols: EPCglobal UHF Class 1 Generation 2, ISO/IEC 18000-6C

Direction testing is now possible thanks to the Sick RFU650 RFID reader – a device that has a reader integrated with the antenna. Its main advantage is the ability to determine the angle of the return signal sent by the RFID tag. Based on this, the integrated logic system, processing data based on algorithms, allows you to determine the direction of movement of RFID tag.
The use of RFU650 on the drive-through gate will allow us to determine, for example, whether a vehicle enters or leaves the warehouse during the movement of goods.
Features of the SICK RFU650 RFID reader:
- a device for reading/writing with a built-in antenna,
- omnidirectional polarization,
- opening angle 80° vertical, 55° horizontal,
- I/O ports: 2 inputs, 2 outputs,
- communication: 10/100 Ethernet, USB 2.0, RS-232, RS-422,
- RFID: EPCglobal UHF Class 1 Generation 2, ISO/IEC 18000-6C.

The DLR-PR001 RFID is a UHF long range reader with GPRS and outstanding RFID reading performance, computing power and communication capabilities. The reader is optimized for portal installations and features full power for up to 16 antennas, Gen 2 Dense Reader Mode management and high speed read rates.
Based on an embedded hardware architecture (x86) and a standard Linux Operating System, the DLR-PR001 reader eases the development of custom software and solutions. The on-board computing power and connectivity eliminate the need for an external PC and related cabling. This results in savings associated with installation and maintenance, and hence the total cost of ownership of the installed devices is reduced.
The DLR-PR001 gate reader works best in comprehensive AutoID solutions, where data is to be collected from many sources, e.g. Smart Card readers, barcode scanners, GPS and other field sensors.
Thanks to the compact and universal form, as well as the use of an optional, integrated GPRS modem, the reader can be mounted in any location requiring RFID – even in far-away locations. DLR-PR001 enables solution providers to adapt the reader to individual needs, and thus, to create their own specialized equipment.
